The CDTAUDIO sound doesn't fatigue; there's just music-effortless, untiring, and above all, clear. The ES-62i have no annoying mid-bass boom like most stock speakers. And the bass was real, the treble crystalline, the sound transparent. This stuff is serious high fidelity. The ES-62i drivers are actually none other than the highly regarded HD separates, also from CDTAUDIO. The main difference between the HD’s and the separates in the ES is the Kevlar mix/fiberglass cone mid-woofer and the crossovers.

CDT introduces ES-03MB mid-bass enhanced 3” incorporating a new parametric blend in an affordable package that puts deep, sweet mid-bass in your vehicle locations simply and easily. Suitable for enclosed or free air use in your vehicle, these drivers provide full, rich, extended bass below 55Hz ported or simply mounted in a panel or deck with or without a sub enclosure. The air load is provided mechanically in the suspension or may be augmented with a back load by sub enclosure.
There is no free lunch and the trade-off is lower SPL limits and reduced sensitivity. If you’re listening tastes are for reasonable levels like any mid woofer used in smaller spaces these drivers provide optimum extended mid-bass response.
