CLARION CCA-723 iPOD Controller for Select DVD Players

The CCA723 cable connects your iPod to Clarion's VRX785BT and MAX685BT DVD receivers. Once connected, you'll be able to listen to your iPod music files while driving, view your iPod video files when you're parked, and keep your iPod fully charged.

The cable also enables your Clarion receiver to provide touchscreen control over your iPod's music playback, while the receiver displays the title, genre, and artist information stored on your iPod. You'll continue to access video functions from your iPod's controls.

You can transfer audio and video from a 5th generation iPod video to your Clarion MAX685BT, VRX785BT, NX409, NZ409, VX709, & VZ709 in-dash DVD headunit using the Clarion CCA-723 connector cable. Control of your iPod is transferred over the cable's USB connection, while audio and video are transferred over a composite video and stereo RCA connection. Video can only be displayed while the vehicle is in park (the unit will display "Audio Only" when your vehicle is in motion). The cable will also charge your iPod video when connected to your compatible clarion headunit and the unit is on. Both compatible headunits offers two iPod playback modes when connected to this adapter - Play Mode and iPod Menu Mode:

• Play Mode: During Play Mode you can control the following playback functions of your iPod: Skip Tracks, Fast-forward/backward, Pause, Repeat, Random and Cancel.
• iPod Menu Mode: The iPod Menu Mode allows you to select music for playback from your iPod by category (Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Genre, or Composer). You can select between categories by using the headunit's numbered preset buttons 1-6. Once you have selected a category, you can search through the tracks in that particular category.

Note: The cable also supports audio only playback of the following iPods -  iPod nano (1st/2nd/3rd generation), iPod photo, iPod classic, iPod touch, and iPhone. Your iPod should be updated with the latest software from Apple.
